WindSwell Foundation is pleased to host the Disabilities Expo, a resource for individuals with intellectual, developmental and physical disabilities, their families, caregivers and professionals to find services, equipment and information in one convenient location. Admission is free.

Location

The Disabilities Expo is at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in the Expo Center and is fully accessible.

Parking is free. Tell the attendant you’re there for the Disabilities Expo!

Check out art work by artists with disabilities in our Art Center. Experience art in its various forms, styles and subject matter. It is all on display with many pieces for sale showcasing the artistic talents of individuals with disabilities in Northeast Indiana.

Hour by Hour

Main Stage

10:45 AM - Whitley County Dazzlers

The Whitley County Dazzlers is a special needs cheer/pom squad. All ages are welcome. They practice once a week and perform at competitions and local venues. This year the Dazzlers will perform a 2 minute pom routine to a country mix.

11:00 AM - Warriors Dance Group

Warriors INC is a non-profit that Provides children and adults with enduring intellectual development and physical disabilities the opportunity to perform while promoting overall wellness by giving confidence to their abilities.

This year’s performance: Group dance; 2.5-3 min. dance routine to the song brave honest beautiful by 5th harmony. The group expresses the joy of dance and movement while promoting inclusion.

Then 3 of the dancers have solos. all 3 are about 2-3 min each, each dancer has chosen a song to express themselves and the song in a meaningful way.

Grace chooses “Photoshop” by Leanna Crawford; it was chosen because she wants people to know that she is ok with the way god made her look, and she doesn’t care what people think of her.

Delenn picked “ you will be all right kid” by Alex Warren she chooses this song to show that anything is possible, and when you have adversity and are not believed in you can overcome it.

Samara has picked “Surviving” and she relates to the overall message.

Samara and Delenn also have a duet. They choose “Little Mix” and was chosen because its fun and upbeat.

11:45 AM - Kendra Hummer

Hi, my name is Kendra hummer. I’m so excited to share my story. I have quadriplegic Cerebral palsy. I’m here to share with you the Journey of my life  and how I roll with life my mission is to empower individuals with a disability and to share awareness. If my story. Can help someone. Go through the things that I went through. By hearing. My perspective on everything. That comes along with. How many? Then I’ve done my job. All I wanna do Use My experience is through my life to help others. With their lives.

Today I’m sharing my story of having quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy and how I roll with life every day. How do I turn that into my purpose?

12:30 PM - Joyful Songsters

Joyful Songsters is a community choir based in Huntington, Indiana. They welcome all individuals with and without disabilities. They recently celebrated their 10th anniversary by singing at the Indiana State House. Joyful songsters provides a meaningful, professional choral experience that focuses on relationships and showcasing the talents and valuable contribution of individuals with disabilities in the community.

This year, Joyful Songsters will be singing in three to four part harmony. They have a variety of tunes for you today. No matter what your taste, they have a song for you!

1:00 PM - Jesters' Mirror Lake Players

Founded by the University of Saint Francis in 1978, the Jesters continues to be the only local program offering interdisciplinary, inter-generational customized arts education and performance opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The mission of the Jesters is to enhance the quality of life for people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) by co-creating art, opportunity and community. Each year, the Jesters program provides customized interdisciplinary art education to 100 participants. There are no auditions; anyone with IDD ages 8-senior citizens is welcome to participate. Beginning in 2017, a sub-group of Jesters called Mirror Lake Players began meeting monthly to practice improvisation. Mentored by Second City Theatre Chicago, the group performs at festivals, schools and community organizations. The Mirror Lake Players, a subgroup of the University of Saint Francis Jesters, will perform improvisational theatre structures facilitated by Jester team member Gloria Minnich and assisted by Julie Tompkins.

2:00 PM - GiGi's Playhouse Cheer Gems

GiGi’s Playhouse Cheer Gems are an active and energetic group focused on positivity, recognition and spirit. Cheer Gems provides a spring board of confidence giving opportunities to participate on a cheer squad and have a shared experience with peers. Our group will perform their routine, it is less than 2 minutes. It is a combination of cheer and movement and an opportunity for our participants to shine and show their confidence.

1:00 PM - Chair Dance (Seating Optional)

Get moving with an upbeat, all-ability dance experience! Whether seated or standing, participants can enjoy easy-to-follow movements that build coordination, mobility, and fun. Seating is optional — movement is what matters.

2:00 PM - Chair Yoga (Seating Optional)

Relax, stretch, and recharge with this accessible yoga session. Movements can be performed seated or standing, with modifications for all ability levels. Seating is optional and everyone is welcome.

Game Center Sponsored by Goodwill Industries of Northeast Indiana

We have jumbo checkers, ringtoss, shuffleboard, and more! We’ve worked to adapt the games to your needs. Be sure to also stop at the Pure Abilities booth and the Easterseals Arc gaming trailer right next to the game center for even more fun!

Art Exhibit and Sale

Experience art in its various forms, styles and subject matter. It is all on display with many pieces for sale showcasing the artistic talents of individuals with disabilities in Northeast Indiana.


Photography Partnership Project Exhibit

It is said that a picture speaks 1,000 words. These images not only speak, they create emotion. The people in these exhibit photos show that individuals living with disabilities are strong, confident, successful and, most of all, happy. Portraits of individuals with disabilities, photographed by Ivy Tech visual arts students, will capture Expo-goers’ hearts.

Free Hearing Screenings

GiveHear is giving free hearing screenings all day. They are located near the concession stand.

Thank you for being a vital part of the 2026 Disabilities Expo. This event wouldn’t exist without your support. Below is everything you need to know for setup and a smooth Expo day. Please read carefully, we’ve included important updates and helpful tools!

Last year we launched a web-based app to help attendees find vendors quickly. The app works best on mobile devices. Screen readers also only work on mobile, so encourage guests who need accessibility features to use a phone or tablet. Check Out the App

Prior to the Expo:

At Friday (May 8) check-in, you’ll receive:

  • 2 parking passes
  • 2 badges
  • A printed program guide

Can’t make Friday check-in? Let me know by May 1 if you’d like passes mailed to you or your team.

Booth Set Up

Booth set up begins Friday, May 8th at Noon. Check-in and unloading is available only through Coliseum doors 3 & 4, which are located on the Parnell Street side of the building. You may drive your vehicle directly inside the Coliseum for easy unloading. Due to liability restrictions, Expo volunteers cannot assist with loading or unloading. Handcarts will be available. Doors close promptly at 5:00 PM on Friday.

Saturday setup is permitted only if it is your only option. Booths must be completely set up and staffed no later than 9:45 AM on Saturday. You may arrive no earlier than 8:00 AM on Saturday morning to set up your booth and must enter through doors 13A, located at the vendor parking lot. Saturday setup is not eligible for vehicles to drive into the Expo Hall.

NOTE: Let us know if you will need parking passes mailed to you by May 1. For alternate setup arrangements you must contact Andie Mosley at 260-207-5769 or
amosley@windswell.org.

 Parking

All vendors need to park in the vendor parking lot located to the left of the parking attendant booths if you enter from Parnell Ave. If there are no more vendor spots left when you arrive, then you may park in the main lot. This will ensure more available parking for attendees. You will enter at the 13A doors that face the vendor lot (unless you park in the main lot, then you may enter at the Conference Center entrance).

Booth Tear Down

The Expo closes at 3:00 PM at which time you can take down your booth. You must vacate the Coliseum by 4:00 PM Saturday afternoon. Exhibitors will be fined $50 if leaving before 3:00 PM.

WiFi

Wireless internet access is complimentary up to 1.5 megabytes per device.

Additional Reminders

Coliseum Concessions will be open all day. No food or beverages may be brought into the Coliseum once the show has opened to the public. We will have a break room with beverages and snacks available throughout the day.
